Following the promulgation of the royal order restructuring the Human Rights Commission Council
On behalf of the Human Rights Council, His Excellency President of the Human Rights Commission Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al Awwad expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, on the occasion of the promulgation of the royal order restructuring the Human Rights Commission Council to serve its fourth four-year tenure.
Dr. Al Awwad expressed his deepest gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the support and direction the Human Rights Commission receives. This support and direction has had a huge impact on HRC’s ability to carry out its mission and discharge its responsibility in promoting and protecting human rights in accordance with the directions of the Saudi leadership. It has further helped in laying the foundations and instilling a culture of human rights to the benefit of the citizens and residents of this beloved nation.
Dr. Al Awwad further noted that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ decision to appoint thirteen women to the Human Rights Commission Council, a number of seats that represent half of the council’s members, furthers the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ efforts to empower women by appointing them to leadership positions in various fields. These appointments will help – with the grace of God – in achieving what the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ aspires to in the service of this dear nation. With that, may God save our country and further bestow upon it the gifts of security, prosperity, and bounty under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince.
